Life’s tragedy, calamity, disaster and disgrace

The tragedy of life does not lies in not reaching your goals, NO..

The tragedy lies in not having goals to reach for…..

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It is not a calamity to die with your dreams unfulfilled,
It is a calamity not to dream.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It is not a disaster not to be able to capture your ideals,

but it is a disaster to have no ideals to capture

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It is not a disgrace not to reach the stars,
but it is a disgrace to have no stars to reach for
from a wise man.
What is Love?
I read this heartwarming report somewhere and thought I should share it with you.
In a contest to find out the interpretation of “ what love is “. children between the ages of 4 to 8 were asked that question.
And these were the enlightening answers they gave… sometimes, we should just learn from this kids. :)
‘When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn’t bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That’s love.’
Rebecca - age 8
‘When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different.
You just know that your name is safe in their mouth.’
Billy - age 4
‘Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other.’
Karl - age 5
‘Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs.’
Chrissy - age 6
‘Love is what makes you smile when you’re tired.’
Terri - age 4
‘Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK.’
Danny - age 7
‘Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My Mommy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss’
Emily - age 8
‘Love is what’s in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen.’
Bobby - age 7 ( enlightening…. from a 7 year old )
‘If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate,’
Nikka - age 6 ( what an angel )
‘Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday.’
Noelle - age 7
‘Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well.’
Tommy - age 6
‘During my piano recital, I was on a stage and I was scared. I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling.
He was the only one doing that. I wasn’t scared anymore.’
Cindy - age 8
‘My mommy loves me more than anybody
You don’t see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night.’
Clare - age 6
‘Love is when Mommy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken.’
Elaine-age 5
‘Love is when Mommy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford.’
Chris - age 7
‘Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day..’
Mary Ann - age 4
‘I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones.’
Lauren - age 4
‘When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you.’
Karen - age 7
‘You really shouldn’t say ‘I love you’ unless you mean it But if you mean it, you should say it a lot.. People forget.’
Jessica - age 8
And the final one
The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife.
Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman’s yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there.
When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said,
‘Nothing, I just helped him cry’
And to those seeking for love, Saint Raphael is the patron saint you should be sending your prayers to, not Saint Valentine.
St Valentine has been wrongly associated with finding love. He is the patron saint for those who have already found their soulmates.
The story goes that St Valentine continues to marry christian couple in defiance of the law in those days, and was jailed to be executed for his act.
While in jail, he was said to have healed the sight of a daughter of one of the guards. And on the day of his execution, he wrote a short note to the lady he had healed, the content of which were nothing close to romantic, and sign off with ” from your Valentine ” .
Thus start the practice of sending notes of appreciation on 14th of February, St Valentine’s day.
Shocking proof about Fat loss
I may have finally found the shocking truth about fat loss. One of my 2009 resolutions is to reduce my body fat percentages down to 12% or below this year.
And when you have a reasonably sound routine, it gets more and more challenging and see no significant results. I ate right most of the times and drink lots and lots of water each day.
In fact, I would suppose I exercise more regularly than most people my age …. but somehow, the last few percentage points is just so stubborn.
And so this year, I’m not leaving it to chance.
As I was searching for answers and what else I need to do to ensure I get rid of those stubborn mid section fats clinging on to me for my lifetime, I chance upon this fat loss site.
According to this lady doctor, the shocking truth and real reason why most people can’t get rid of those stubborn fats has got nothing to do with their will power, over eating or right diet.
It’s something else, and mind you, this can get quite graphic. If you have a weak stomach, do not click on the link.
I think I’ll stand a much better chance this year to lose those remaining stubborn fats. On to my quest for a firmer toner midsection, and getting rid of those disgusting parasites.
