Fight fat with fruits

Did you know that small differences in fruit and fibre intake can make a difference to whether you are overweight?

In a study, normal weight people reported eating on average two servings of fruit and 12 grams of fibre each day, those who were overweight had just one serving and 9 grams.
So the 3 grams of fibre, equivalent to the amount of one apple or orange, could be the difference. Fibre slows down digestions and makes you feel full.
When you are craving for something sweet, go for fruits too. Fruit may satisfy your sweet tooth just as well as junk food does. It has the fiber and antioxidants you can’t find in dessert or junk foods. Have a fruitful day …

More fruits to lose weights

Did you know that small differences in fruit and fibre intake can make a difference to whether you are overweight?

Well interesting isn’t it. I just found out that In a new study, normal weight people were reportedly eating on average two servings of fruit and 12 grams of fibre each day in comparison to those who were overweight, who had just one serving of fruits and 9 grams of fibre.

So the 3 grams of fibre, equivalent to the amount of one apple or orange, could be the difference. Fibre slows down digestions and makes you feel full.

Sleeping more to lose some weight

Here’s something I just found out that’s interesting to know. Its simple to lose some weight by just sleeping more.

People who sleep less weigh more. New research has shown that men and women who sleep for five hours or less each night were 32 percent more likely to gain more weight compare to those who sleep a full 7 hours or more. As we age, we probably need less sleep but hey, if it takes 7 hours of sleep to lose some weight, surely we can do that.

It was discovered that a lack of sleep upsets the body’s hormonal balance, ghrelin levels increase in sleep deprived people, and leading to an increase in appetite and food consumption. No wonder when I stay up late, I always feel hungry and starts taking supper and snacks.  Its extra calories consumed that never gets to be burn as we are probably not doing much at the late night hour other than watching tv programs, a movie or reading a book.

People with insufficient shut eye also experience increasing fatigue, and therefore tend to move around the least during the day. Lesson learned, try to sleep about 7 hours each night.

cheers
